Notice To CEW&SA Customers
Please Minimize Water Usage Starting at Midnight on Tuesday, September 8th, Through Midnight on Wednesday, September 9th.
We are asking all customers to minimize their water usage during this time. The water filtration plant will shut down operations for approximately twelve hours between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on September 9th while contractors perform necessary re-piping work associated with our new carbon filtration system. This ongoing improvement project is designed to help address taste and odor issues in the drinking water.
During the shutdown, please postpone nonessential water use, including:
- Watering lawns or gardens
- Washing vehicles, homes, or driveways
- Filling swimming pools
- Any other activity that uses a large amount of water
Water may still be used for essential needs such as drinking, cooking, and necessary sanitation. Reducing nonessential use will help maintain adequate water levels and reliable service throughout the shutdown.
